California Bachelor Party Checklist & Tips
Preparing for the Party

The Guest List
This is the last night of real freedom for the bachelor, so you want to be sure to invite all his friends. Keep in mind that the whole point of the party is fun, so make sure not to have anyone there who will "bring down" the evening.
Family and future in-laws need to be invited, but make sure that all the activities planned are appropriate for them. If the bachelor is uncomfortable "letting it all out" in front of his future father in-law or brother in-law, make sure not to schedule the really raunchy stuff till after they plan on leaving.
Friends who are bad drunks or who can't behave themselves in a drinking environment should also be excluded. Drama is the last thing you probably want on this final night of partying.
The Invitations
Make sure to get out the invites with enough time for people to put it in their schedules. In the summer it is even more important to leave people enough time in advance. Promote the hell out of your party to increase attendance. Let everyone know everything that will be taking place; eating, drinking, gambling, cards, strippers, complete debauchery, etc.
You might want to have people RSVP so you have some idea of how many to plan for. Make sure to let everyone know if there is going to be a cover to avoid the "I left my wallet at home" syndrome.
The Location
Halls are great for accommodating big crowds and for those worried about having their homes destroyed. Keep in mind that most of them have time limits on the partying, drinking, entertainment. Find those times out before sending the invites and hiring the dancers.
If the party is small, it's warm out and you can have people outside, or your property is big, homes are a good place to throw down. You don't have to worry about having close times, big down payments, or drunk driving.
Hotels are all right if it is the only option and the party is not too big. Make sure that you have a room that is surrounded by other empty rooms to minimize the risk of being kicked out.
The Food & Beverages
Most folks order the typical bachelor party fare; Super subs, pizza, chicken wings, as well as having chips, pretzels and such to munch on. Barbeques are a fun way to start the party, but not really practical for the duration of the party.
If good food is a necessity for the large majority of your guests you might want to have everyone bring a dish or two. Most wives, girlfriends, or significant others are willing to make food, so long as they think it's a simple night of poker and drinking. (Do not tell your wife you are having strippers and expect her to make good food for the evening.)
It's a bachelor party, so drinking is a must. The general rule is that if the bachelor remembers the evening, the party was a failure. Here are a few important things to take into account when stocking up on the beverages.
Beer is a must. If you are expecting many guests you might want to look into getting a keg.
Keep in mind the liquor laws in your state and make sure that you are stocked with enough to last the entire evening. You may want to send someone out for a quick "booze run" before they stop selling in your area.
Chicks like mixed drinks. Always make sure to have something light on hand for the dancers. Wine coolers, Hard Lemonade, and other "mixed drinks" are pretty popular with strippers. You can't go wrong with Captain Morgan's either.
The Entertainment
The first requirement for any bachelor party is the strippers. With out the California exotic dancers, it's just a bunch of dudes standing around getting drunk. Where's the fun in that? Strippers are what the bachelor needs in order to get his mind off the big mistake he's about to make. Naked women are what make every party a hit. You know you've got a good party when there is naked female flesh in the house.
You always want to make sure to order your dancers in advance. The guys coming to the party are expecting to see some naked debauchery, so don't wait till it's too late. Also keep in mind that the more guys you have, the more girls you'll need. If you are expecting more than 50 guys, you'll want to have at least 3 girls. The rule of thumb is 1 girl for every 15-20 guys.
The Day of Party
On the big day you will want to make sure that everything is in place for the evening. Call any vendors you have arraigned for the event to make sure that your plans have not been changed (i.e. Halls, food, entertainment, etc.).
If you have friends bringing over poker tables, craps table, chips, or any other supplies, give them a call to make sure they know what time to be there to set up.
Make sure you have enough money on hand to pay for everything relating to the event. Even if you plan on making the money back at the door, bear in mind that some things need to paid at the beginning of the party (i.e..- Food, drinks, last minute supplies, hall deposit, etc).
